For the Love of GAWD! Stop putting serum droppers directly on your face

I know I know it looks cool. To see the serum spill on your face in a dope luxurious drip. But Babe your face has bacteria! Yes, you may have just cleaned your face. You did your double cleanse, you exfoliated, you maybe even did a detoxing mask. Either way, you risk introducing bacteria or other contaminants from your skin back into the serum bottle. This can compromise the integrity of the product and may lead to skin irritations or infections. But I going to say it here...

Stop putting SERUM DROPPERS directly on your face.

Instead, do this:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Though your hands may be clean from cleansing your face from the other steps. But there is a possibility that you may have a product from your previous step.

2. Spray that toner and grab that serum. After letting the toner dry down ( not completely), get a decent amount of serum in the dropper, I like to do 2 pumps. Drop the serum in your hand.

3. Next you have 2 options

  • Rub the serum into your hands to gain warmth and then apply it to the face

                                          -or-

  • Pat the serum onto the face, making sure that you are covering the face, neck and decollete.

4. Choose your weapon: You have so many amazing options in how you want to work your serum into the skin.

  • Gua Sha
  • Massage
  • Cold Face Roller
  • Let it soak and then apply your moisturizer
Pro Tip: I love to add an extra layer of moisturizer for a nice nighttime boost!

 What have we learned here:

Dont use serum droppers directly on the face

Distribute the serum evenly on the face, neck and decollete

Prep Serum with a clean face and toner

There are different ways to massage the serum in to the skin.
