Bare your Soul: Monthly Journal Prompts

Bare your Soul: Monthly Journal Prompts

September

Welcome to your first month of diving deeper in to journaling! This month's theme is about Listening to your soul. What has it been trying to communicate with you? Over the next month use these prompts weekly after your morning meditation to see how your spirit answers. Here are some tips to allow yourself to get authentic and clear answers to these questions without overthinking the answers:

  • Start with quite time:
    • either before you start your day or at the end of the day create a time where you can pray and meditate. Meditation or prayer doesn't have to be long but it will help usher you into a space of reflection
  • Avoid your phone:
    • The first thing in the morning you must give to you and God. Your phone can wait. If anything try to avoid social media. The distractions of the world can wait.
  • Write the first thing that comes to mind without judgement:
    • Simple as that. write as if no one will ever read it. This is for you!
  • Use one prompt for each week as a theme:
    •  Pick 1 prompt that resonates with you. You don't have to use both unless you would like!
    • Or dont pick any prompt! Freestyle it! Whatever is on your heart get it out on paper.
  • Wake up and write!:
    • When you wake up from the dreamstate you are able to remember dreams and their effect on you. Also this is a time where you are more sensitive of what you are feeling. There are no cut cards with your spirit at this time. So take advantage of this time.
Did you know that journaling helps with lowering your cortisol!

What does your soul yearn for that you haven’t allowed yourself to fully embrace? Explore how you can start nurturing this deep desire.

    Prompt 2:
Reflect on a time when you felt deeply connected to something greater than yourself. What was this experience, and how did it impact your understanding of your soul’s purpose?

    Week 2

    Prompt 3:
Consider the people, places, or activities that make you feel most at peace. What do these connections reveal about the needs of your soul, and how can you invite more of this peace into your life?

    Prompt 4:
What message do you believe your soul is trying to convey to you at this moment? Spend time in silence or meditation and then write about any insights or feelings that arise.

    Week 3

    Prompt 5:
If your soul could speak directly to you, what do you think it would say about the path you’re currently on? How can you align your daily life more closely with the wisdom of your soul?

    Prompt 6:
What past experiences or relationships have left an imprint on your soul? How have they shaped who you are today, and what healing or growth still needs to happen?
